Be Careful What You Kiss For By Jane Lynne Daniels

Be careful what you kiss for

“The Do Over”  Do You Really Want It?

Paranormal Romance, One of the Best

Author Jane Daniels has crafted a story on the premise that many of us have wished for at some point in our life, get “the do over”, to do things differently than we did the first time.

However we never think about the circumstances or repercussions of the “do over”.  Do we really want a “do over”,  I think you should ask Tensley for her opinion.

Story Line:

Tensley’s ,( a business woman),  love life just never seems to jell, it started in high school with her first love Max, local bad boy, she catches in a passionate kiss with Rhonda the Shank.

After her best friend Kate suggest a visit to Madame Claire’s, psychic extraordinaire, Tensley gets  “the do over” of a lifetime,  but not like she wanted, her old life has disappeared and she finds herself on a stripper pole almost naked and who is in the bar, of course, her high school love Max who is now a cop working undercover.

So begins her new life with “the do over”.  This was hilarious.  The conversations Rhonda and Max have in their minds are so funny.   The scene of taking the cat to the vet, her best friend Kate in her former life,  was another laugh out loud moment.

I howled at Ms. Daniels description of the cat adventure and Tensley meeting her friend Kate in this life.  I love a book that makes me laugh.  This one is a great feel good book.

Characters, Plotting, And Development:

Jane Daniels did not pen your standard time travel or paranormal book, this one is a new take on an old genre.  The story plots and action keep coming with twist and turns.

The exchanges between Tensely and Max are snarky at times, revealing at others, funny, and oh so hot.  The chemistry between them burns up the pages.  The story never lags and held my interest from the first chapter to the last.

Be careful what you wish for, it just may come true as Tensley found, in this laugh out loud, life she got as “the do over”.  Hang in there Tensley, Jane Daniels does bring things around just in time.

Recommendation:

To say I liked this book would be an understatement. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes a laugh out loud paranormal love story that is not your standard time travel story.  I received this book from the publisher and Readingalley for an honest book review.

Books reviews of any novel are dependent on the book review author’s opinion;  book reviews on line under my name are my opinion.
