STORY LINE CAITLYN’S CHRISTMAS WISH:
Author Laura L. Walker created a Christmas romance in her latest romance novel, Caitlyn’s Christmas Wish. Caitlyn Drevier Reel’s life has turned around on a dime. Divorced from famous singer Grant Reel, Caitlyn had a eating disorder and diet pill addiction. Grant’s personality is selfish, self-center, a druggie, and unfaithful. He did not handle fame and fortune or family well. With help from her former in-laws, Charles and Jacinda, Caitlyn got her life together. Invited to Charles and Jacinda’s for Christmas, Caitlyn and Brody travel to Danzy, Wyoming.
Subsequently, the first person she meets upon arriving, is Ridge Reel, Grant’s brother. Brothers which are as different as night and day. The attraction between Caitlyn and Ridge is fast and mutual. Caitlyn craves home, family, security, and the love of a good man; things she never had with Grant. Ridge, a good but sad man, has tragedies to face and over come.
Working with Ridge, Charles, and Jacinda to make the Winter Festival an outstanding success for Danzy Wyoming, Caitlyn is finding peace and much more. Just when things are coming together, Grant appears on the scene. Does Grant have his own agenda? Why has he suddenly come home after a five-year absence? Why is he trying to get Caitlyn to return to him? Will all come right in the end? What does God have in store for all the players in this wonderful story for all seasons.
Come along with Ridge, Caitlyn, and Grant to the small town of Danzy, Wyoming for Christmas secrets, mysteries, and romance. My Romance novel review of Caitlyn’s Christmas Wish follows below.
CHARACTERS, PLOTTING, AND DEVELOPMENT:
Firstly, Author Laura Walker crafted a sweet clean romance which will grab you right away. I read Caitlyn’s Christmas Wish in one sitting. Furthermore, Ms. Walker filled this story with emotions of the Christmas season and two people hurt deeply in the past. Secondly, this is a story of God’s grace, redemption, and second chances. In addition, I found the plots surprising as Ms. Walker revealed the intricacies of Grants intentions and motives. Also, I found the pace steady and the characters well-developed. Ms. Walker featured Grant as the villain of the story. Presented as selfish, conniving, self-centered and thoughtless, I wanted to slap him silly, as my mother would say.
Additionally, Grant, Ridge, and Caitlyn have issues to resolve. Essentially, in order to move on and live life to the fullest, they must come to grips with those issues and learn forgiveness for themselves and others. Second chances do not come to everyone; these three will find the true meaning of life during the Christmas season.
Finally, in concluding the romance novel review of Caityln’s Christmas Wish, I found Ms. Walker’s writing style was clean, clear, and easy to follow. She provided a relaxing enjoyable read. Clearly, Christmas is a time of love, giving, forgiveness, healing, and family unity. Without a doubt, Author Laura Walker, created a story-line highlighting each of these attributes.

PHOTO AND BIO PROVIDED BY AUTHOR
Laura L. Walker grew up in a large family in the beautiful Gila Valley of southern Arizona. From the time Laura was young, ideas for stories bombarded her brain. She would spend hours drawing her characters on paper and fantasizing about their adventures. Life became more serious, however, when Laura met her own hero while at college in northern Arizona and they later became the parents of six children. In between spurts of grocery shopping, sewing costumes for plays, transporting kids to swim or soccer practices, and making dinner, Laura still enjoys putting her imagination to good use. Author of two LDS contemporary romances, Pierced by Love and The Matchup. Caitlyn’s Christmas Wish is her first e-novella.
