CHARACTERS, PLOTTING, DEVELOPMENT:
Firstly, I must tell the reader Kiss Of Death needs editing; I found numerous errors which interrupted the flow of the book. That said, I must also state the premise of the story was very good. Secondly, the mystery and suspense were kept at high peak as the reader follows this investigation. With an ending which is surprising and unexpected, this story would receive four stars if not for the editing.
Skuce developed the characters fully. Furthermore, the pacing was smooth and steady. Also, Skuce surprised me with the killer’s identity. Including everything needed to create a solid psychological thriller, Skuce grabs the reader in the first few paragraphs and holds the reader‘s attention until the last sentence.
KISS OF DEATH RECOMMENDATION: STARS 3
I did not feel I could give Kiss Of Death 4 stars due to the editing. However, this did not stop me enjoying the book which Skuce filled with mystery, intrigue, and suspense.
