Author Sharon Buchbinder has continued her wonderful tale of werewolves and jinnis. This one will take you back in history to King Solomon as she builds on her story-line in present time and incorporates history. Intriguing and action packed, relax with a cold drink and enjoy this wonderful story.
STORY LINE:
Eliana Solomon, agent with Homeland Security, is back in the thick of things in this action packed book created by author Sharon Buchbinder. Called to Summertown, West Virginia to investigate the disappearance of 3 werewolf boys and 3 eighteen year old sisters, Eliana finds she must once again face the jinni, their danger to humanity, and their evil natures. Calling her team together, she is forced to ask for the help from attractive Dr. Arta Shahani, Psychiatrist and jinni expert and the man who left her to die in the desert on their last mission together.
This mission is filled with jinni and the evil they forge in this small town. What is the jinni’s mission in this small town and why take the children? Eliana and Arta will ferret out the secrets and mysteries involved in this intriguing story. Eliana’s family history dates back to biblical times as does Dr. Shahani’s. You will be engrossed in the history and story-line as Ms. Buchbinder weaves this tale of good and evil, possession, greed, vengeance and love.
CHARACTERS, PLOTTING, AND DEVELOPMENT:
Ms. Buchbinder has created a spell-binding history and legend based story. She takes you from the court of King Solomon to the present day and does so without lag or interruption of pace. The transition was seamless from one time period to another. I loved the story of King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba. Ms. Buchbinder has researched the history behind her story-line and includes a section titled “author’s notes”; do not skip this section as it has many interesting facts and legends which will add to your enjoyment of this book.
Ms. Buchbinder had many threads in this story which she skillfully brought together to form a solid well-written book filled with history, mystery, good versus evil, and romance. The plot was skillfully developed and the pacing never slowed or lagged. She hooked me in the first pages of this action packed book.
The attraction between Eliana and Arta was in peak form as they circled each other. Eliana finds Arta breathtaking and Arta finds Eliana just as intriguing. Arta has secrets he is not sure Eliana will accept. Eliana and Arts discover family history that neither was aware; Ms. Buchbinder skillfully wove the histories together as past and present meet.
This book does contain one love scene between Arta and Eliana which I felt was tastefully written and was not explicit sex. This is a well-written solid paranormal romance that does not depend on sex to sell the story-line.
RECOMMENDATION: 5 STARS
Author Sharon Buchbinder created a book which will appeal to anyone who enjoys a solid well-written story. I found the history intriguing and enlightening. I look forward to the next book in this series.
