STORY-LINE MAIL ORDER BRIDE: THE TWIN BRIDES & BROTHERS BY TERRI GRACE

In the opening scene, we find twin brothers, Ivan and Theo, laughing at brother Alan’s infatuation with his new wife, Cynthia.  Never will they become besotted with a woman like Alan. However, he who laughs last laughs loudest.  Knowing Jethro plans wives for them, they demand twins;  thinking Molly, owner of a matching agency, will never find twins for them.  Back east, opinionated Georgina and gentle Danielle, also pressured to marry, demand twin prospects with practicing Christian faith.  Their mother prays for an answer to her dilemma with the girls; God provides an answer to her prayers.  Molly has the perfect solution when she hears from Jethro again.

Boarding the train to Fort Walla Walla, Washington, the girls wonder about their future husbands.  Jethro is introducing them to the brothers, mixing up which bride went to which brother.  What will come of this mismatch?  Oh my, feathers just might fly!  Will they realize the mismatch?   Can love bloom for the right couple?  Will outgoing Theodore aka Theo and gentle quite Ivan, give in to love or fight it all the way?  Besotted or withdrawn, which will it be?  My romance book reviews follow.

CHARACTERS, PLOTTING, DEVELOPMENT:

Well, what a mix-up Grace crafted into this tale.  Placing fiery Georgina with Ivan will not work, neither will strong independent Theo suit gentle Danielle.  Oh my, the trials and unhappiness which ensues because of Jethro’s mistake.  Grace skillfully wove both girls thoughts, wants, and unhappiness into the story.  Showing how prayer, listening to God, and placing our cares in his hands can ease our hearts, Grace gave this sage advice to Georgina and Danielle through Cynthia wise counsel.

With an entertaining and intriguing plot, well-developed characters, and a story-line which held my attention from the first pages, I loved this sweet romance story.  Although faith, belief in the council of God, and prayer’s the backbone of this story, Grace did not push the reader to believe;  faith’s parts of these characters make up.  Without force or preaching to the reader, she penned a Christian message.  A crisis and hilarity occur when the bank’s robbed where Danielle works, turning her into a she-bear of fury. Will this open the eyes of these four mismatched people?  Sorry, you will have to read the awesome tale to find out.

Also, don’t think Jethro’s finished with his marrying meddling ways; he has four more sons he needs to find mail order brides.  I love this series of books and do not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who enjoys a clean, sweet western romance.  I look forward to the next addition to this series.  Although a stand-alone read, I suggest reading the entire series of Jethro’s brides for seven brothers; you will not regret your decision.
