CHARACTERS AND DEVELOPMENT, SAINT GEORGE RUSTY KNIGHT AND MONSTER TAMER:

The characters and monsters are many and varied as we read Saint George’s adventures. You will find, Woggalogs, Irish Whasits, Merlin the Whirlin, Sir Salty Biscuit, Loch Ness Nellies, and many more.  Sprinkled with variations on modern names for newspapers, monsters, characters, and inventions, this book will keep the reader laughing and entertained. With a different take on history, this book is a learning tool for the parent or reader to research/explain the true events.

Author John Powell created a story-line that will appeal to the young at heart and with help reading the book, the young in years.  The satire and quips will go over the head of the younger reader. However, the older reader will enjoy the satirical nature of the stories.   Saint George, a dauntless hero, saving the day for King and Country, will appeal to the heart of the young reader.  Furthermore, the sketches in the book illustrate the essence of the story in the chapter.

This book would be a good bed time storybook as each chapter is complete in its self.  One chapter a night would give the younger reader, nights of enjoyment.  At the young age of 66, I enjoyed reading this whimsical bookAuthor John Powell’s writing style was clear and easy to read which will appeal to all readers.
