Author John Powell created a story-line that will appeal to the young at heart and with help reading the book, the young in years. The satire and quips will go over the head of the younger reader. However, the older reader will enjoy the satirical nature of the stories. Saint George, a dauntless hero, saving the day for King and Country, will appeal to the heart of the young reader. Furthermore, the sketches in the book illustrate the essence of the story in the chapter.
This book would be a good bed time storybook as each chapter is complete in its self. One chapter a night would give the younger reader, nights of enjoyment. At the young age of 66, I enjoyed reading this whimsical book. Author John Powell’s writing style was clear and easy to read which will appeal to all readers.
