Tricked To Marry by author Emma Harper has Tricked To Marry and 15 other wonderful stories.  What a buy, 16 stories for the price of one.  I chose to review Tricked To Marry and The Sheriff’s Broken Bride.  All stories have a sweet clean romance set in the west.

STORY-LINE TRICKED TO MARRY BY EMMA HARPER:

In Tricked To Marry, we find Caroline, school teacher, in a small town in the west.  Coming from the East for a new life in the west, she loves her job and the town.  Desiring a husband and family, men are scarce and few are available.  At twenty-two she’s given up on finding a husband, much less love, when fate steps in taking the form of Winona.  Winona, friend, landlord, and confidant’s determined to find Caroline a husband; even if she has to tell a few lies and use subterfuge by answering a mail order bride ad.  One candidate, Kenneth, appears on the horizon and Winona’s determined to get him for Caroline. My review romance book review of Tricked To Marry follows.

CHARACTERS, PLOTTING, DEVELOPMENT:

In Tricked To Marry, we find, unbeknownst to Winona and Caroline, each have the same man in mind for Caroline’s future husband. Harper gave Winona a matchmaker personality which she used for Caroline’s benefit.  Winona unaware Caroline’s already has her heart on the same man as Winona wrote, does all she can to get them together. I found it hilarious Carolina had met Winona’s candidate already and attraction followed on both sides.

The pace of Tricked To Marry, a fast-paced story also has well-developed character’s.  Authors can not develop the story-line or characters of a novella or short story in the depth of a novel, however, Harper did a fine of job of including everything needed to create a sweet clean romance between two people looking for love.  I would not hesitate to buy this book for my self or a friend.

TRICKED TO MARRY RECOMMENDATION:  STARS 4

TRICKED TO MARRY, THE SHERIFF’S BROKEN BRIDE

STORY-LINE THE SHERIFFS BROKEN BRIDE:

In The Sheriff’s Broken Bride, set in 1870, begins in New York.  Belle Samuels, raised by a cruel aunt and once again living with her, finds herself widowed and pregnant.  Even though her aunt’s bitter at the news of her pregnancy, Belle’s happy.  She has always wanted love and a family.  Refusing to allow Belle to stay with her any longer if she keeps her baby, she has decisions to make.

Placing an ad in the mail order bride advertisements, Belle answers the first man who responds, Braxton Price. In Broken Hill, South Dakota, her future husband is not expecting a pregnant bride nor that she would give birth then and there.  Braxton intents to be the first Sheriff of Broken Hill; he needs a wife to satisfy the citizens of Broken Hill and clean up his reputation, this will not do.  She has to go, the sooner the better.  My romance book review of The Sheriffs Broken Bride follows.

CHARACTER, PLOTTING, DEVELOPMENT:

The Sheriffs Broken Bride’s another sweet clean romance.  Belle can take Braxton not wanting her, but her son needs a father.  Braxton finds himself surprise by his reaction to the baby. Harper fashioned in Braxton a man who discovered he had a conscience.  Belle’s character had a hard life and decisions made for her by her Aunt. This is sweet romance between two people in need who finally find what they need is each other.

In concluding my romance book review, I found The Sheriff’s Broken Bride an emotional read.  I could feel Belle’s hurt and pain, as well as, her joy.  With pacing in line with the length of the story and well-developed characters, The Sheriffs Broken Bride‘s a wonderful sweet mail order bride romance.  I would not hesitate to buy the book for my self or a friend.

TRICKED TO MARRY, THE SHERIFF’S BROKEN BRIDE RECOMMENDATION:  STARS 4

TRICKED TO MARRY COLLECTION CONCLUSION:

I found both of these stories sweet and clean. All the other books will follow the same presentation, development, and pacing.  I love the length of each story and that the reader receives 16 stories with a total page count of 891 pages. This book’s perfect for a lazy weekend of reading.  Harper packs a lot of fun, emotion, and clean romance with a mail order bride theme in this book.   Suitable for anyone who loves a good western, this book hits the mark.
